Swannis (actually...Swanndri Ranger 100% Wool Shirt)

We love Swanndri shirts and so have New Zealanders for about 90 years.

 

• This is a classic outdoor product worn by people all over the world.
• The wool is high quality, keeps you warm and sheds water; it's durable and will still keep you insulated even if you get a soaking.
• Handles sparks from the camp fire much better than most man made stuff, and the best test of any product has remained virtually unchanged since its introduction.
• They got it right the first time. (Shame we can't all manage that eh?)

I have had one for years and they're great, it's the first item that's thrown on my back, or in my pack, when I head for the hills. Remember though, they're made oversized just in case you want to layer up, so if you are not intending to do that, it's best to buy the size below your normal size. When it comes to washing, I hand wash it with warm water and I have had no problems, just remember to lay it flat to dry.

 

I hand wash it. OK, my wife takes one sniff of my kag after a hunting trip and hands it right back to me with a packet of soap flakes and a finger pointing to the sink...but I refuse to wear those little yellow rubber gloves while I do it, right...and I slop water...
