Condor Knives Otzi Knife
Anyone with an interest in Bushcraft, Survival and, or, Human History has probably heard of the now famous 'Otzi the Iceman'.
Probably ranking as one of the Worlds greatest archeological finds, climbers on the Val Senales Glacier discovered the body of a man beneath the melting ice and snow, near the summit, in 1991.
Amazingly, actually astoundingly, they had uncovered the near perfect remains of a 46 year old Man that lived and died at the very beginning of the Bronze Age, over 5300 years ago.
The information we have gleaned from the intact clothing and kit that belonged to the now named 'Otzi' has transformed our understanding of Bronze Age Man and the times in which he lived, and from a Bushcraft perspective, we have a clear window onto the skills and craft of a true Indigenous European Bushman. Anyone and Everyone should take the time to study Otzi, its an astonishing story and a fascinating subject. If you want more information about him, click here...http://www.iceman.it/en/the-iceman/
Anyway, Condor Knife and Tool company has made a reproduction of the small knife that was found in Otzi's kit and its become a great hit for those looking for a small, utility fixed blade.
