" I tested the Hultafors HVK Hi Carbon Knife that you sent me along with a Mora Clipper. I used them "side by side" in the bush while cutting 1" - 2" dia. poplar saplings to make tent pegs, both preformed terrific. The scandi edges had no trouble powering through the saplings when bent-over under side tension and the fashioning of points and notches was smooth and … [more]

Hi Paul, My name is Chris . I'm a high school science teacher in Saskatchewan. I just wanted to drop you a line saying thanks for the products that you've sold me. I was out on a canoeing trip this fall with a group of my students and the Fallkniven knives worked perfectly. (I can hand a WM-1 to a student, knowing that it will get the job done and they won't slice themselves open...) The … [more]

Because of the LAWKS system on the 910, the blade tends to hug one side of the knife (tends to give knives that cheap appearance). So I did a little mod using some washers from a cheap Boker I had. I also removed the LAWKS thingy altogether. Additionally, because the lockup was around 80% of the blade tang, (something that bugs me), after my mod it adjusted the lock up exactly where I like … [more]
Hi Paul, Thank you for the email! I also wanted to thank you for the F1 that you kindly sold to me last Fall. I just got back from several months of geological field work in remote mountains of western Yukon. The F1 was on me at all times, and was used daily, from food preparation and firestarting, to general camp tasks, to clearing helicopter landing zones. It was a long, wet and cold … [more]

When I placed my order, you asked me to provide you with feedback on the Olight M20 Warrior 2010 Flashlight. I have now used it a bit & must agree that this the most efficient & bright flashlight I have ever had the pleasure to use. It is well built & the fact you can select the intensity of the light power as required if a great & well thought out concept. Also, from what I … [more]
The Hunter by Lapin Puuko I will admit that when Paul asked me to review the Lapin Puuko Hunting knife I was excited. I had never handled nor used a Lapin Puuko product. I researched the company and the knives prior to receiving the knife from Paul. I was impressed by the company’s longevity, quality assurance, product guarantee as well as its ability to stay focused on a line of … [more]
Bushcraft Canada is top notch. They sell the kind of high quality products, I used to think you just couldnt find anymore. In the 2+ years that I've been dealing with Paul his service and personal attention gives me the feeling that I'm important and not just another customer, which keeps me coming back. Paul takes the time to talk, explaining any questions or concerns I may have, and if he … [more]

Paul I have heard of that line(SWAZI) before, but never checked them out until now, after reading your email. Iam very intrigued at the company and the high expectation of quality. At first glance the price scares the crap out of ya. However as most of us bush enthusiasts and hardcore outdoor employed folks know, great gear is worth its weight in gold! I'm sure when you are looking at bringing … [more]

By J. For my trip in Canada, I needed a survival knife which would be extremely robust, light and small enough to always carry it on me but not too light and small so that I could still use it to chop wood reasonably well. The handle should be made of a synthetic material, since I want to be able to use it in any type of climate. My experience is that metal handles are solid but do not … [more]
Review of Fallkniven Mod. S1 "Forest Knife" I just received my Fallkniven S1 from Paul at Workwear Canada and my first impressions are good. At a measured 246mm long, the Swedish import S1 sits between the smaller Fallkniven F1 line of survival knives and the larger A1 or A2 military s. The S1 also comes with a black Ceracoat 8H finish, known as the S1BL, but I did not require a … [more]

Recently I tracked down Paul Robinson, the Canadian distributor of Fallkniven knives and ordered an S1. Paul is knowledgeable and enthusiastic promoter of Fallkniven and was more than willing to discuss his products and knives in general. I was so impressed with the S1 when it arrived, that I ordered an F1 and WM1 the very next day. At that time, I was offered the chance to review a 'loaner' … [more]
